Hey bookish besties, time to delude responsibly 💅📖💭
Welcome to the Delulu Bookly Readathon, where reality checks are canceled and the only thing on your to-do list is spiraling over fictional men, irrational plots, and unhinged tropes that absolutely should not work – but do.
Maybe you’ve recently had a crisis after finishing a romance with ✨no conflict resolution✨. Maybe your current favorite character is giving “gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss.” Maybe you’ve been using “he’s fictional” as an excuse a little too often.
Good news: you’re not alone.
This summer, we’re embracing the ✨delulu era✨- no logic, no shame, just vibes. You don’t need a coherent plot arc. You need a book that ruins your grip on reality in the most delicious way possible.
DELULU BOOKLY READATHON
From July 17 to July 27, join us for 11 days of chaotic main character behavior. Whether you’re deep in an enemies-to-lovers spiral, reading fanfic with the same trope for the 300th time, or romantically staring at the ocean like you’re in a breakup montage, this is your moment.
📅 Registration opens June 27 and closes July 16, so don’t wait. (Or do. We support delusional procrastination.)
All you need to do is:
- Update your Bookly App (iOS or Android).
- Tap “JOIN” in the Readathon tab.
- Log your reading. Spiral responsibly.
- Use #BooklyReadathon to share your descent into trope-fueled chaos.
- Export your Custom Reading Report on July 28 to win prizes!
What Are the Delulu Bookly Readathon Challenge Levels?
We have four levels based on your hours spent reading. Pick your trope and spiral accordingly:
💅 Casual Situationship (0–10 hrs)
You cracked the spine. You win.
💔 Unreliable Narrator (11–20 hrs)
Your reading log is shady, your TBR doesn’t believe you, and honestly? Same.
🔥 Main Character (21–44 hrs)
You read like someone’s filming your third-act breakup.
🧠 Certified Delulu (45+ hrs)
You haven’t been grounded in reality since Chapter 2. That’s hot.
📢 Bonus: Join our reading sprints on July 19-20 and 26-27 on Threads, X and Discord!
🌀 Delulu Prompt List (Optional but spicy):
- A book that made you spiral into a delulu daydream 🌴
- A romance that would definitely ruin your life IRL 💋
- A book where the main character makes ✨no rational decisions✨
- A book that gaslit you, love-bombed you, and left you crying 🥀
- A summer read that turned into a personality trait ☀️
Add them to your TBR if you dare. Or ignore them like a red flag you’re about to fall in love with.
Remember, the prompts are totally optional – perfect for sparking inspiration or leveling up your TBR game if you’re feeling adventurous.

Final Thoughts: Embrace the Chaos
Remember when you swore you’d never fall for the morally gray villain again?
Remember when you said this time you’d read something “light”?
Remember thinking “this trope won’t break me”?
Wrong.
You’re here. You’re spiraling. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.
So whether you’re a manic pixie reader, a morally gray girlboss, or just someone who reads like it’s a coping mechanism (because it is) – this readathon is your multiverse.
📖 Sign up, spiral responsibly, and let’s live, laugh, delude together.
