Whether you like physical books, ebooks, or audiobooks, with Bookly, you can easily save quotes and organize them.
This feature comes in handy for readers who don’t like highlighting their books or marking their pages, or for books that are borrowed, but you still want to save your favorite quotes.
There are three ways you can save quotes from books with Bookly:
- by taking a photo of a book;
- by converting an image to text;
- or by writing the quote yourself.
Here’s how each method works:
How to save quotes as pictures
Step 1: Add the book you want to read to Bookly by opening the app and tapping on the + button.
Step 2: Start a reading session by tapping the Start reading button below the book.
Step 3: Whenever you find a quote you want to save tap on the Save quote button.
Step 4: Tap on the Take photo button.
Step 5: You’ll be asked whether you want to use your phone’s camera to take a picture of your book or use a picture in your Photo Library. Choose Take a picture.
Step 6: Using your phone’s camera app, take a picture of the quote you want to save. When you’re done, tap on Choose photo.
Step 7: Crop your image, if necessary, then tap on the arrow on the bottom right part of the screen.
Step 8: Your quote is saved as a picture. To view it, end your reading session by tapping on the Stop button, tap on your book to open the book details, and scroll down to quotes.
Step 9: If you want, you can also share your quote on social media directly from Bookly by using the share button in the top left corner.

How can I fix this problem?
Thanks!

I can’t find my quotes. I entered one manually last night and I don’t see it anywhere in the app. I’ve searched the details of the book and it’s not there. I entered one from another book a couple of weeks ago and that one isn’t anywhere I can see either. If it matters, I have a Samsung phone.

How do I print out all my quotes in one place?
Hi Arlini and thank you for using Bookly! You can download the quotes for each book, but unfortunately, you can’t download all the quotes from one place. We’ll add it to our list for a future update though! Thank you 😀
