Well, motivation is a state of mind, and sometimes we need a little push to get us there. Don’t worry, the stars have aligned. We’ve put together a list of all the readathons taking place in 2022 for you to challenge yourself and win your yearly reading challenge!

🥂 Halloween Bookly Readathon (24-30 October)

You already registered, right? For 7 days for cold-blooded reading, you have to read for at least 8 hours.

Choose any books you want, track them using Bookly, and submit your Reading Report on November 1st for a chance to win. Find out more about the challenge in our dedicated blog article here.

🥂 Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon (22 October)

Ready for a whole day of reading? YES, please! 🙌😍 Embark on 24 hours of pure reading along with fellow book lovers.

🥂 Read Your Bookshelf (1-31 October)

Here’s an invitation to actually read your books that lay on the shelf, but with a twist. This is a yearly readathon, with each month having a different reading prompt to make things more exciting.

We’re here to spill the tea, the word of the month for October is “secret”. Totally classified! 

🥂 Victober (1-31 October)

A month-long readathon with a focus on victorian literature, held by 5 great hosts. Why great? Each of the hosts gives their custom reading recommendations. It’s gonna be a tough choice 🤔

🥂 Buzzwordathon (1-31 October)

Every first week of each month comes with a new buzzword. Guess what’s in for October: any animal’s or creature’s name should be in the title of the book. You can choose from wolves and vampires to fairies and mermaids – you decide how real or fantastical your creature is.

This readathon comes with a plot, scenario, teams, and scoring. If you’re an organized person and you like rules, then you’ll surely love this one.

Celebrate POC culture with a Halloween-themed month-long readathon. Get ready for bingo with 9 prompts and join 2 reading groups.

🥂 ClearUrSht: A Readathon (1 November-31 December)

Immerse into the fantasy world of the Narrator and Ariadne, a library witch, as they lead you through this readathon. You’ll need to make your own “library card” in order to get in, but make sure to read more about the event here.

🥂 ThankfulAThon (1-30 November)

Oh, books, they bring such joy to us! But do we ever thank them? This readathon is about taking the time for books we are thankful for, and  November is round 10. Reminder: While checking all those bingo challenges, don’t forget about self-care, too.

🥂 Gilmore Girls Readathon (7-13 November)

Rory & Lorelai can’t wait for you to join them. If you binge-watched Gilmore Girls, then you’ll love this Gilmoreathon. Be ready for themed prompts, bingos, and some truly great reads.

🥂 Bloomin’ Readathon (1-30 November)

If you’d like to catch up on your reading with no rush, this readathon might be the perfect entry on your 2022 readathons to help you achieve your yearly goal. For the whole month, check the prompts at your pace, and just enjoy the journey with this relaxed readathon 😌

🥂 Once Upon A Readathon (1-30 November)

Fairy godmother, princess, huntsman, or witch? Choose your team, join one of the 16 (yes, 16!) hosts, and dive into the magical realm of your favorite fairytale. Watch more here.

🥂 Nonfiction November (1-30 November)

If you have nonfiction books on your TBR, make sure to take part in this readathon! The challenge is 8 years old already, and if you didn’t join before, now is the time. Here are some nonfiction book recommendations from Abookolive, the host herself.

🥂 #AYEARATHON (7-13 November)

For this readathon, you have one week each month to read as many books as the theme allows!

For November, it’s time to check all those books that were recommended to you, but you didn’t have a chance to read yet. Mark this one on your 2022 readathons list and challenge yourself with a genre you haven’t tried before.

🥂 Queer Lit Readathon (4-10 December)

Jump on this readathon for a full week of all things queer! There are going to be lots of prompts and a bingo card, too! 🌈

🥂 European Reading (until 31 December)

Join the 10 years anniversary of the Grand Tour of Europe! Whether the plot is set in Europe or the book is written by a European author, you’re in for an adventurous traveling experience.

🥂 World Reading (until 31 December)

The fifth edition of this reading challenge comes with a twist. Like before, to participate, you need to read one book per country.

So what’s new? The books you choose this time must be written by female authors. If you’re in a hurry, they also provide a short list of suggestions.

🥂 Book Bingo (until 31 December)

Enjoy a good old bingo game! Read a book that fits the category, complete just one row or column, and win.

Side note: all the books you read must be finished by the end of 2022. Keep in mind that this year’s theme is “Time”.

🥂 TBR 22 in ’22 (until 31 December)

How many books have you read in 2022? If the number you’re aiming for is 22, then this readathon is for you.

🥂 She Reads Romance Books (until 31 December)

Calling all romance readers! If you’re a hopeless romantic, join this 2022 readathon and discover new authors you’ll love 💘
